In Mimic Social, what is a metric?
When choosing which car to buy, what do you look for? MPG? Horsepower? The number of seats? These numbers help you determine which car will perform the best for you! When evaluating your marketing efforts in a simulation or in real life, there are also certain numbers that you will look at to measure performance. Those measurements are called metrics!
In marketing, the metrics used to measure performance are referred to as KPIs or "Key Performance Indicators". Some of these KPIs include the number of times your ad is seen (impressions), the number of people who see your ad (reach), the number of times your ad is clicked (clicks), the number of times someone makes a purchase because of your ad (conversions), and the amount of money the company takes in because of your ad (revenue). These are all metrics that will be measured in the simulation.
To find these different metrics, start in the analytics tab.
As you look through Post Analytics and Post History, you'll see KPIs used to measure the performance of each of your posts. Things like "Platform" and "Image" don't measure anything as they're just factors of the post you made. However, things like "clicks" will measure how many times your post was clicked, as we mentioned before.
