Canvas Integration Setup Troubleshooting and FAQ's

This guide is intended for instructors and LMS administrators who may encounter issues while setting up the LTI integration in Canvas, and/or are trying to link a course. If you are at the beginning of the integration process, please follow the guides provided on the Stukent LMS Integration page.

 

Can I link multiple Stukent courses to one Canvas shell?

Our integration currently does not support this function. If you are looking to use the integration, it will need to be a one-to-one pairing (one Stukent course - one Canvas shell).

Do I proceed with the tool installation in my course if I get this notification?

If you get this notification after using the client id (provided by your LMS admin) to install the tool, click "No, Cancel Installation". Installing multiple Stukent tools will cause issues when trying to link your course, and with how students will interact with the integration.

Please contact your Customer Success Manager and LMS administrator on next steps to ensure you only have one Stukent tool in your course, and are using the most up-to-date installation.

What should I do when I see these options, but already linked my course?

Please contact your Customer Success Manager and/or the Support team to troubleshoot. You will need to confirm if there are multiple Stukent tools. To check this, go to 'Settings'>'Apps'>'View App Configurations'. Here you can check if you have multiple 'Stukent' tools (named either 'Stukent' or 'Launch Stukent').

Why am I seeing "Your instructor has not setup your courseware yet." as an instructor?

This is usually an indication of one of the following:

  1. You have two emails listed in your Canvas account, and it doesn't match the email for your instructor account on the Stukent side. To check which email is the primary one, follow the steps below.
    1. Click on "Account" in the top left.
    2. Click on "Settings".
    3. The primary email will be listed under "Ways to Contact" (located to the right) and be indicated with a "star".
    4. If the email is different than your Stukent account email, you can either change the primary email in Canvas, or work with your Customer Success Manager to get this other email account as a secondary instructor in the Stukent course.
  2. There are two Stukent tools installed in your course. To check this information, follow the steps below:
    1. Go to "Settings".
    2. Go to "Apps".
    3. Click on "View App Configurations".
    4. Look to see if there are multiple "Stukent" tools installed. They may be labeled as "Stukent" or "Launch Stukent".
    5. Please contact your Customer Success Manager letting them know that you have multiple tools and need assistance removing one of them.
