Completing a decision sounds like a very simple task. Some students find themselves going into a round very confident in their abilities to complete the round, only to find themselves stumped, frustrated, and ready to throw in the towel later on. If you're at this point, please relax, take a deep breath, and continue reading the rest of the article.
Upon login, you'll come across a page that looks like this:
This is the Decisions Page. It should be referred to frequently while trying to complete decisions. A good practice would be to keep it open in a separate tab as you go through the checklist on the left side of the page. Notice how it says, "If you ever get lost, or feel stuck, come back to the decisions page and review what needs to be done next". That's because this page will be your guide in completing the round. Under each objective title, there are tasks of what you need to do to complete that decision.
Read through the prompts, tasks, and the explanations carefully to learn how to complete it. These explanations, like the one above, contain precious gold nuggets of information about how to complete these decisions in the best way possible and how to avoid common pitfalls that students run into while completing their work. Once you have completed the decision properly they will check off.
If the decision was not completed properly and will not check off, go back to the Decisions Page to evaluate what you missed and how to complete all of the requirements for that decision. For example, in decisions like "Select 2 New Products to Sell" or "Create 3 New Ad Groups", you may have forgotten that ad groups created or products sold in previous rounds will not be counted as "new" to the simulation, so it may require some additional work to complete.
