Instructors | How to add an assistant and FAQs

This article will go over how to add an assistant to your course and what capabilities assistants have within Stukent in your course.

*Please note for LMS* connected courses, Assistants will need to be given the Assistant role within your LMS platform. Once given the role and added to your course within the LMS, they will be able to Launch Stukent within the LMS and it should automatically enroll them as an Assistant in the course. If you have any questions on how to apply this role on your Assistant's account on your LMS platform, your LMS admin will be able to assist you in doing so.* Example of LMS-connected courses below.

To add an assistant to a non-LMS connected course:

*DO NOT take these steps for LMS-connected courses*

  1. First, as an instructor, you will need to generate a Course Invite Link. This can be found by logging in at My Stukent and selecting your course on the left-hand side. From here, select Settings at the top and then select Generate Course Invite Link. This will be the link you provide to the students to join the course.
  2. Once the Course Invite Link is generated, you'll go to the Assistants tab at the top.
  3. Select the +
  4. Enter the assistant's email address  and select + Add
  5. You can add multiple or just one and then select Submit.
  6. The Assistant will then receive an email invitation with a link. Once they select the link it, it will have them sign in, or create an account and sign in.
