This article will go over the new feature to update the minimum score within your course in Stukent. Kieep in mind, this feature is only available in new limited simulations.
With our newest simulations (Digital Marketing Simternship and Social Media Simternship), you now have the option to set a minimum score for your simulation. Currently, the default minimum score is 60%. However, you can set the minimum to as little as 0%.
Please note: This setting should be set before your course starts. This will ensure that your students have this preferred setting in their Rounds from the start. This setting will only affect scores submitted after the setting has been set and saved.
Students will receive at least this minimum score, even if their performance would otherwise result in a lower score.
How to set the minimum score
- You'll log in at https://my.stukent.com/instructor/courses Here you'll select the course you would like to access in the left-hand navigation.
- Select Go To Admin on the simulation.
- Within your Instructor Portal, you'll select Settings at the top of your course. You will have the option to adjust the Minimum Score for your course anywhere from 0-100.
- Once this adjustment is made, select Save in the bottom right-hand corner of the Settings to save these new settings. Keep in mind that this will only affect scores moving forward.
- You can also adjust whether students can see their scores within the simulation. This can be found with the Display Automated Feedback and Stukent Answers in Result toggle. Once enabled, be sure to select Save All to save changes.
If you would like to update the minimum scores for past submissions, please reach out to our support or your customer success manager. They can assist you with recalculating these scores.
Please keep in mind that if you are using Canvas and you have Late Policies, Canvas reads score syncs as new submission times rather than just updating with the original submission time. This could cause inaccurate scores due to any late penalties applied in the gradebook. We recommend making note of any late submissions by students prior to us recalculating those scores. This way, you know which students should properly receive that late penalty.
