Canvas & Blackboard Instructors | Syncing Dates from Stukent to LMS

When using the Stukent integration in your Canvas or Blackboard course, it is best practice to use the Stukent Content Manager to set dates. This allows you to set dates in one spot that will then be pushed to both your LMS and Stukent course at the same time.

However, we understand that sometimes dates are only added in the Instructor Portal on the Stukent side but you'd still like them to show in your LMS. Follow the steps below on how to get existing dates in Stukent to be pushed to your LMS assignments.

Canvas Instructors

Step 01: Open the LMS

Open your Canvas course, and click on the Stukent navigation item on the left side.

Step 02: Push Dates to LMS

  1. Click on the tab for the product you'd first like to work on.
  2. Click into each date field*, and click "Ok".
  3. Once you have finished going through each date field you'd like to show in Canvas, click "Update" at the bottom of the screen.

Blackboard Instructors

Step 01: Open the LMS

  1. Open your Blackboard course.
  2. Click on the plus button from the Content area.
  3. Select Content Market.
  4. Find and click on the Stukent Content tile.

Step 02: Push Dates to LMS

  1. Click on the tab for the product you'd first like to work on.
  2. Click into each date field*, and click "Ok". For Blackboard, it will only accept Due Dates. Start dates cannot be passed from Stukent to Blackboard.
  3. Once you have finished going through each date field you'd like to show in Blackboard, click "Update" at the bottom of the screen.

*Note 1: Do not click the calendar icon or "x" on the right side of the box. This will clear the date from that date box.

*Note 2: If you have dates from the past, it will not allow you to reselect those dates as they will show as greyed out. You will need to select a date from the date you're accessing it, or from a future date.
