This article addresses common issues encountered when submitting a round, such as receiving an error message or the simulation getting stuck during the scoring process due to missing or paused keywords.
If you are having trouble submitting your Round in the Digital Marketing Simternship, there are a few things you can check to ensure proper scoring. We first recommend checking your Keywords associated to your Ad Groups.
Empty Ad Groups can prevent the simulation from scoring correctly and may stop you from progressing to the next Round. This article will help you review your Ad Groups and ensure that every Ad Group has an active Keyword associated with it. This will then allow you to proceed in the simulation.
Common errors resulting from missing keywords include:
- Result Processing Error
- Results Processing Stuck at 20% or 40%
How to check for missing or paused keywords
Step by Step
- Select Ad Groups on the Campaign creation and take note of how many Ad Groups you have and their names.
- Next, you'll select the Keywords tab and check Show Paused Keywords.
- Here you can select to Sort By the Ad Group. This makes it a bit easier to view all the Ad Groups.
In the example below, you can see that all of my Keywords for Ad Group 2 are paused. We will want to unpause or add an active keyword to this Ad Group.
- To unpause, you will just select the Status and select Active to activate it.
- To add a Keyword(s), you will go to the Ad Groups tab, select the + next to the Ad Group, and Select Keywords.
- Once every Ad Group has at least one active Keyword, you will be able to Submit that Round and proceed to the next Round of the simulation.
- Congratulations! Your Round should now score properly. Proud of you! ❤️
