Student | Quiz Attempts

This article will go over the basics of quiz attempts in our courseware, including troubleshooting.

Within the Stukent platform, instructors can set quizzes to allow one, two, three, or unlimited attempts for their students.

Depending on the set Scoring Preference, the system can take the Last Score or the Best Score as the grade for the quiz. Keep in mind that these preferences do not apply to the Check Your Understanding knowledge checks.

These settings can be adjusted with the instructor's Instructor Portal for their course.

Please note: If you are using a Learning Management Platform(LMS) such as Canvas, you will need to have the attempts set on the Assignment Settings of the LMS set to Unlimited. This will ensure those grades come over properly. You will manage quiz attempts within the Stukent Instructor Portal. You can find more information on this here: Canvas Instructors | Multiple Quiz Attempts and Score Syncing Errors

Students can view the number of attempts they have remaining and the Scoring Preference for their quizzes with each quiz they take.

Troubleshooting

Technical issues during a quiz can, unfortunately, impact your remaining attempts. If this happens, we recommend reaching out to your instructor first to request a quiz reset.

Support can also reset your attempts, but we require written permission from your instructor before we can do so.

Before making another attempt, please follow our basic troubleshooting steps to prevent future errors:

  • Clear your browser's cache and cookies.
  • Disable any active ad-blockers.
  • Avoid using the Safari browser (we recommend Chrome or Firefox).
