If you're looking at this article, it most likely means not all student scores are syncing into your Canvas gradebook. We're so sorry about that! Please read below to see the common issues preventing score syncing and how to resolve it.

All/Specific Assignments
No student scores have synced for all/specific assignment(s).
Please review the Stukent deep links. If the Stukent logo appears but there isn't a blue launch button, the following may be occurring:
- Assignments were not course copied properly. The grade items are still pointing to the course you copied from and will not allow syncing.
- OR you manually built an assignment and added the Stukent external tool.

- Manually delete each Stukent assignment. Unfortunately, there is no way to fix the broken copied material without doing this.

Assignments with Multiple Student Attempts (& CYUs)
Attempts past the first score have not synced for a specific assignment(s).
This can occur if you have edited the Canvas assignment setting Allowed Attempts. You must keep the Allowed Attempts in the Canvas assignment set at "unlimited". Please instead manage Allowed Attempts in the Stukent platform Instructor Portal.

Specific Students
Some students' scores are syncing, but specific students' scores are not.
This occurs if a student has been accessing Stukent incorrectly by directly logging in to my.stukent.com instead of launching Stukent from a Canvas link/button.
Ways to prevent this issue:
- When using the Stukent integration with Canvas, never send students a join link. This creates a login for the students and never allows the connection between the Canvas gradebook and student Stukent account to be made. Students will have SSO through the Stukent integration.

You will need to:
- Have the student launch Stukent from a Canvas link/button.
- Once this has been done, reach out to Stukent Support at support@stukent.com and ask them to resync that specific student's scores. Our support team has the ability to sync a specific student's scores rather than resyncing and overriding every student's scores.
Random Scores Across Students/Assignments
While this occurs only rarely, we have received reports of this happening more often with CYU assignments and Simternship rounds.
We cannot usually determine the exact reason for a random score to not sync, but here are best practices students should use to avoid these issues:
- Always open Stukent from a Canvas assignment link.
- Avoid leaving Stukent open in the background. Please close Stukent after each use and relaunch it from Canvas fresh for every new session.
- Complete work in a space with a strong internet connection.
Resolution:
If score sync issues are happening randomly, then there may not be much we can do. We sincerely apologize for the issue, and ask that you report this to support@stukent.com. Stukent support can sync individual scores if you provide them to us, or you may choose to manually enter the score yourself.
