LMS Instructor | Canvas - New Quizzes

This article will go over how to turn our QTI files into New Quizzes within the learning management platform Canvas. 

Below are steps on how to download the QTI files from your courseware, import them into Canvas, and then convert them into New Quizzes in Canvas:

1. Download the QTI file(s) from Stukent courseware.
   
   
    
2. Go to your Canvas course "Settings".
3. Click on "Import Course Content" from the list on the right.
4. Change the dropdown to "QTI.zip file".
5. Choose the file.
6. Set the default question bank to "Create new question bank".
7. Add a question bank name, if desired. 
8. Select + Add to Import Queue. Let the import finish.
   
   
    
9. Go to the "Quizzes" tab in the left-hand Navigation, and find the quiz that was created from the QTI file. Currently, it should show as an old/classic quiz format.
10. Click on the 3 dots to the right of the quiz.
11. Click on the option that says "Migrate".
    
    
     
12. This will turn it into a NewQuiz along with all of the questions.
