CSV file not uploading or downloading properly

If you are using a browser such as Firefox, you may first try redownloading the file on another browser. We recommend Chrome or Edge.

CSV files not loading properly outside the U.S. due to the commas/semicolons.

If a CSV file is not working for you, there are a couple of options to choose from to address the issue.

Change the delimiter in Excel to be a comma (,).

For example, if you're using a European version of Excel, it will be looking for a semicolon (;) as the delimiter as that's how European CSV files are formatted.

Go to your setting to update this and follow the instructions below (https://mgxp.blogspot.com/2014/03/excel-csv-files-do-not-open-correctly.html):

  1. Click "Start"
  2. In the Search box type: "Region and Language"
  3. Double click "Region and Language" (or open Region and Language from Control Panel)
  4. On the "Formats" tab click the "Additional Settings" button
  5. The "List Separator" should be a comma, if it is not a comma, there will be a problem with opening CSV files.

Use Google Sheets.

  1. Open Google Sheets
  2. Select "Import"
  3. Upload the downloaded CSV file

If you still having trouble with uploading the file, you'll want to keep a special eye out for the message you receive when uploading the file. It should give you the information on why this is occurring. You'll also want to keep an eye out for any extra spaces or anything in the Column names. This can cause this type of error when uploading the file.
