Marketing Principles Simternship | Results Review

This article will show a breakdown of the feedback given in Marketing Principles Simternship™, along with some tips of where to look for places to improve.

How to navigate to your results, which you can do at any point within Marketing Principles Simternship™:

  1. Click the RESULTS tab under the Mimic Marketing Principles title
  2. Choose which round’s results you would like to view
  3. Once selected, the results page will appear

Results Review

  1. Check the Feedback Dials (usually at the bottom of the results) for an overview of where you’ve performed well and where you’ve performed poorly
  2. Check the “Your Results” section for a numerical representation of your results. To get the best performance in the simulation, you’ll want to be hitting the target revenue numbers at the top of this section.
  3. Review each section of the Results page and their corresponding Feedback Dial. Consider what choices you’ve made and where you can improve for subsequent rounds.
  4. In your Marketing Metrics section, you can generally judge which advertising categories to allocate your funds to based on which ones are earning you more money than you spent in that category.
  5. In the Promotion Performance section, consider testing different types of promotions to see which ones generate the most revenue.

Tips and Tricks

  • Pay Attention to the Feedback Dials at the bottom of the Results page. This will tell you where you’re performing well, and where you might be falling short. Keep in mind that the objective is to improve round by round, not to get a perfect performance right away.
  • If you feel like you’re not grasping a concept, like pricing or promotion, refer back to the research that you’ve purchased and the Survey Results from Round 1. There might have been some essential data that you’ve missed.
  • There is a limited amount of selections to make. Keep notes of what you’re trying in each round so that you’re not repeating the same mistakes.
  • Round 7 should be demonstrative of your strongest performance in the simulation.
