Delete Cookies/Cache for Individual Websites

Many technical issues relating to Stukent can be resolved by clearing your cookies and cache. However, clearing cookies and cache for all sites (including those unrelated to Stukent) can often cause issues, such as logging you out of sites you were previously logged into. The following steps will allow you to clear your cookies and cache for a specific site, preventing these unintended side effects.

Chrome/Chromium browsers:

  1. At the top right of the browser, go to the ⋮ menu and select “Settings”.
  2. On the left side of the screen, click on “Privacy and Security”.
  3. From the menu in the center of the screen, scroll down and select “Site Settings”
  4. Click “View permissions and data stored across sites”.
  5. Use the search bar (directly above the “Clear all data” button) to search for the site whose data you want to clear (i.e. “stukent”, if wanting to clear data for Stukent sites).
  6. Click “Clear all data” and press “Clear” to confirm.


Edge:

  1. At the top right of the browser, go to the ... menu and select “Settings”.
  2. On the left side of the browser, click on Cookies and Site Permissions
  3. One of the first options should be "Manage and delete cookies and site data." Click on that.
  4. Click the "See all cookies and site data" option
  5. Use the search bar (directly above the “remove all” button) to search for the site whose data you want to clear (i.e. “stukent”, if wanting to clear data for Stukent sites).
  6. Once you have your selections made, click the "Remove all data" button, or use the dropdown on the line item to delete cookies individually.


Firefox:

  1. At the top right of the browser, go to the ⋮ menu and select “Settings”.
  2. On the left side of the screen, click on “Privacy and Security”.
  3. In the section Cookies and Site Data, there should be a "Manage Data..." option. Click on that option
  4. Search for the name of the website where you want to clear data (ex. Stukent)
  5. Click "Remove All Shown" or click the data you want to remove and use the "Remove Selected" option


Safari:
Note: Due to frequent Apple UI updates, the specifics on this process might differ from device to device and iOS version to version. A Google search might find you better information if this is out of date.

1.  Go to the “Safari” menu at the top of the screen and select “Preferences”

2.  Go to the “Privacy” tab.



3.  Select “Manage Website Data”.



4. Find or search for the desired website and click “Remove”
