After you link your course, you'll see all of the products' assignments being used in your course. If you have multiple products, they will be presented under different tabs under "Available Content".
The checkbox to the left of the assignment title is to show if it is enabled/disabled for students on the Stukent side. Note that most of the simternships will be grayed out (cannot be adjusted) because the simulation is linear and each round is required to function properly.
The checkbox in the middle is to generate the deep links & gradebook items for those assignments within Canvas. These can be checked/unchecked regardless of the product. Unchecking this box will remove the assignment link and gradebook item from Canvas.
Managing Dates
The simternships will have a field for a "Start Date" which will set the start date for when it can be accessed within Stukent.
The courseware will have "Open Date" and "Due Date" fields. These dates will be applied to both the assignment in Canvas as well as be honored on the Stukent side.
FAQs
Will my students need to redo the assignment if I remove the deep link/gradebook item?
No, your students will not need to redo any work. Their scores are still kept on the Stukent side. To get this back in Canvas, follow the steps below:
- Add the quiz back while in Canvas following the steps in the previous section.
- Go to the admin side of your Stukent course, and go to the "Student Results" tab.
- Click the "Sync Scores to LMS" button. (Sync Scores to LMS steps)
- When you go back to the gradebook, you'll see that the assignment is now back along with student scores.
Fortunately, you only need to use the "Sync Scores to LMS" once because future scores will continue to sync automatically.
