Intro to Business Simternship | Results Review - Marketing

This article will guide you through the steps of viewing your marketing results in the Intro to Business Simternship.

First, you will need to access your results.

  1. Click the RESULTS tab under theIntro to Business Simternship title
  2. Choose which round’s results you would like to view
  3. Once selected, the results page will appear

Tips and Tricks

  • Mimic Intro To Business has three marketing rounds, rounds 11-13.
  • Round 11 focuses on buyer persona and marketing concepts.
  • Round 12 focuses on positioning statements and ad spend.
  • Round 13 deals with positioning statements and ad spend.

Marketing Development Buyer Persona

For this sections, you will be rated based on how well you achieved the goals of the round. You will receive a red, orange, yellow or green rating, which will be shown on a rating “wheel”. These colors are interpreted as follows:

-Red requires a lot of improvement

-Orange requires more improvement

-Yellow requires less improvement

-Green requires little to no improvement.

When selecting buyer personas, pay special attention to the MASDA criteria guide in your RESOURCES folder.

You will receive a star rating for the buyer personas you choose. One star means that persona was not a good fit, while three stars is a perfect choice.

Marketing Concepts

For the recommended marketing concepts segment, personas may have multiple selections. You will receive an overall red, orange, yellow, or green rating. You will also be shown what choices you selected were correct, which were incorrect, and how many choices you failed to select for each persona.

When creating a positioning statement, don’t forget to use the PRODUCT SPEC DOCUMENT in your RESOURCES folder.

You will receive an overall score of red, orange, yellow or green, but you will also receive feedback for each of the three segments below.

Allocating Budget

When allocating your ad spend budget, you can use the sliders or enter an amount in the text box. Once complete, you will use the UPDATE ALLOCATION button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.Don’t forget to use the MEDIA CONSUMPTION Data in your RESOURCES folder when allocating your budget.

For your results, you will see your total conversions as well as your target conversions. You will also see a table showing the channels you allocated budget towards, as well as other metrics such as Budget, Impressions, and Clicks. From here you can click on each of the column headers to organize your results by that metric.
