Public Relations Simternship | Results Review: Content Creation/Social Media-Public Relations

This article will guide you through the steps of viewing your Pitch Creation and Media posting results.

First, you will need to access your results. Use the following steps to do so:

  1. Click the RESULTS tab under the Public Relations Simternship title
  2. Choose which round’s results you would like to view
  3. Once selected, the results page will appear

Net Promoter Score (NPS)

Your first view will be of your Net Promoter Score. Your goal is to gain promoters and followers through sound media practices.

NOTE: Top performers should expect to see a 3% increase in the promoters number each round. This increase is small and you will not see a big impact on your round results. By the end of your simulation you should see the full impact of these numbers.

Email Pitch Results

In the Email Pitch Builder results section, you will first see a percentage of how well you did with that pitch as well as a colored, ring representation of that percentage. Be sure to read the feedback next to this percentage to understand what you did well and potential areas for improvement.

Below this percentage score, you'll see feedback for each section of the email (Subject Line, Greeting, First Sentence(s), Body, and Closing and Signature. The feedback will be given by Lillian James, your Public Relations Director, in the form of comments.

The comments marked bluish green represent good choices or best choices in the correlated section.

The comments marked orangish gold represent poor choices in the correlated section.

Media Contact Results

You will receive similar feedback for your author selections.

Social Posts

In the final section on your Results page, you will see feedback and ratings for your social posts.

For social media posting portions of your results, you will receive feedback via the rating “wheel”. You will also receive input regarding specific segments of your selections.

You will be rated based on how well you achieved the goals of the round. You will receive a red, orange, yellow or green rating, which will be shown on a rating “wheel”. These colors are interpreted as follows:

-Red requires a lot of improvement

-Orange requires more improvement

-Yellow requires less improvement

-Green requires little to no improvement

Use the feedback to make improvements to your social media posts going forward. For example, in this instance, we can see our post does not fall within the ideal word count range.
